It is strange but i like the gta V physics because i like old arcade racing game and i think it is actually the best physics for a arcade racing game (forza horizon its not in this category i speak about nfs or burnout)

Also bro recapping the story of the first game- rofl. I really wish they would give us Illuminattes from the first game, they could finally become a potential ally on the second game, just like how the Tau from WK40Kh sometimes provide war-financial-support/troops and leeway for the Imperium of Man's Astra Militarum forces from time to time. Also high hopes we get Capital defense missions like we've had in the first game, where sometimes the enemy actually bought the war on our home. and we have to go through the city estabilishing safe outposts and control points. tee-hee, Reminds me of Spiral Knights, we're literally capturing one planet for the Isorans, but deep down, the Morai Wars was our own fault, and the Knights of the Order were all working together with enslaving the entire population (the gremlins ) and even converting them to their side by force, or because "we've shown them a home and kindness- " Home? We literally took their home, and now we "allow" them to stay in it? Interesting~!

im really sad that i cant play the somewhat damaged ending just cause i always shit my pants the closer i get to the facility i once played it by accident and the whole mission took me 4 hours and i ended up cheating my way through 😭 since then i only really played the spaceport ending i tried the somewhat damaged one again a few weeks ago and i felt my heart bang faster and faster the closer i reloaded when i was on the lift that brings you down i just couldnt go down maybe someday i can play that ending without getting a heart attack

When it first came out, I got fooled by the marketing and hype for the game and bought it instantly. I regretted it almost right away. I really wanted to give the game a chance as I never want to waste my money on games as they get more and more expensive, but the game literally bored me to death. As a 30-year-old man that has responsibilities and limited time to play games, I don’t want to play a game that is a real life simulator and that demands me to brush my horse, brush my teeth’s, trim my beard and watch a 2min cutscenes of Arthur butchering a deer. They went way too far with the realism, and I think it is a huge disservice to the game. I honestly don’t understand people calling it a “masterpiece” and the “greatest game ever”. I really think that it’s a huge cope on their part but I’m not there to hate, I just want to give my opinion and if people enjoyed the game than so be it. I’m happy for them.

I really enjoy your videos, even though I have to make a considerable effort to understand a language that isn’t my own. You convey the details of the subject matter and arguments very well. Driving in GTA IV isn’t difficult, but it takes getting used to and understanding that each vehicle is different, including traction. Honestly, I find driving in GTA IV much more fun precisely because there’s a challenge to it. In GTA V, driving feels quite dull; there’s no challenge at all. That’s why I’ve never felt the urge to play GTA V again, but I’m currently playing GTA IV for the third time. I truly hope that the physics in GTA VI will be more similar to those in GTA IV.

i mean the bending pole can still be "raw" motion capture or "secondary motion" (as called in some animation/3D software). Between the points of the mocap you could draw Bezier curves and make it fix that. That bikini is most likely just some regular vertex skinning, which we've seen in pretty much EVERY game since 3D games were a thing (e.g. any character animation ever). Though those cloth sims (or animated/blended normals like in RDR2) are nice and add a lot of subconscious detail. I do really hope 70% of interiors are enterable. Usually the main reason there arent more interiors (without loading screens) in modern games is because they take effort to design (u design an entire city and THEN also do every interior). This being "a technical limitation" is not a thing anymore since like 2015-2020 or smth. Most interior objects will be "Data only" or "gpu instanced" which essentially means theyre very cheap and dont take "any" additional resources to render (with limitations, e.g. physics objects cant really be gpu instanced (i know particles can have physics properties but theyre very limited)). And i'm not saying this is free to compute, but their games are about pushing boundaries so this may happen, it may also just be parallax but idk. However R* has filed a patent on how they COULD "AI generate" interiors (didn't read it, but presumably not in realtime). IF they end up using this there is in theory nothing stopping them from making every interior enterable, maybe just for looks and nothing functional, but enterable non the less. The only real compromise is disk space for all the ymap, model and texture files for those additional interior objects and render pipeline complexity as efficient culling will be a lot more complicated and important. Remember tho they have been working on this game since 2014 supposedly and uses same/better tech than used on RDR2. Tbh i expect gta6 to be the 1st game to crack 200GB (maybe more like 180-200). Hair physics isn't simulating individual hairs (unless you're talking about blender or similar, but USUALLY not in games). They're multiple triangles/quads with hair textures on them layered up and simulated like overlapping cloth (i'm sure it has gotten more advanced in the last couple years). About the mirrors: In theory if the game has raytracing or pathtracing (tho simplified probably like unreal's lumen operates on a simplified scene) you wouldn't need to fake mirrors. I suspect we'd have indirect lighting from RTX or something like lumen and mirrors of any kind will get "priority" to render at higher quallity. The biggest things everyone would notice would be animated normals/cloth sims, facial animations/ indirect lighting (especially in a dense city this would be noticeable), synced animations like them passing a beer can (i hope this is not only in cutscenes) and different non-intrusive tonemapping/weather effects to reflect the part of the map you're in (e.g. the smaller town of port gelhorn is more warm and cozy, the dense city of vice city is more neon and feels like a paradise, industrial area(s) feel more concrete/colder/industrial). Also ASS and TITS... they need to be half the rendering budget ATLEAST....... Nice video tho :)

If gta 5 had originally released on the ps4/xb1, the physics would’ve been like rdr2. they for sure had to compromise the physics for the graphics for the consoles at the time. It’s unfortunate but that’s why rdr2 is almost perfect. It had the new gen power for everything

I actually never did the new ending for V, felt too much empathy for So Mi's suffering, so I went with Killing Moon blind.. and on my second try I just ended her life bc as a WMD that truly is a sweet release I guess.. and then had no nerves to get another gut punch so I stopped after that, it was very disturbing to sit on the decision and to show V driving with Reed, looking at her corpse and stuff, great quest design 👏💔 Killing MaxTac was so cool tho!! And love that one of them did the Smasher thing "who the fuck are you?" Lmao got his personality down in a second, a hotshot who wanted to be more like his Idol, would have loved to know his story tbh

GTA 4 driving isn't even that hard either, all you need to do is take your finger off that accelerate button every now and then.

i had this game spoiled for me and it was still one of the best experiences ive ever had with any video game

19:50 This is also the case in GTA IV. They both share a lot of the same physics bugs (that funnily didn't exist in the 3D era). 25:07 They need to find a mid point between San Andreas and IV, not V. It was a big missed opportunity to not talk about San Andreas and what it did right. V's driving setup is pretty much downgraded San Andreas driving, as San Andreas had a much better balance of arcade and realism than V. Body roll actually existed and was properly applied to correct vehicle types. Cars of the same type had more handling variety between them. It didn't have the forced traction control system of the newer games or the weird physics glitches. It did some things better than IV.

Too slow-paced, hell you can't even save the game before finishing the prologue, which forces you to sit there for 2-3 hrs. I know the technical aspect is top-notch! But who cares if the gameplay is crap? Then the lack of vehicles, which makes the GTA games more enjoyable for me. The environment looks boring and is not distinctive at all. So overall this is not a game it is a third-person over the shoulder horse riding and walking simulator.

when i ran through the game the first time, i wondered "what is the REAL arthur? the arthur intended by the game?" and i realized when helping the widow up in the mountains. how many times in the game does arthur help someone that gives him next to nothing in return? even just by spending time with them? and how many times can you go out of your way to hurt people that gives you nothing? that difference made it real to me. he's a good man who does bad things because he's done bad things his whole life and he doesn't know how to fix it. i really don't think he's meant to be a bad person. even if he's dishonorable, he is STILL trying to be a good man.
